REPLY: Mainly because we are hungry … Seriously, though, roo meat is recommended by nutritionists as being totally devoid of cholesterol and fat and should therefore be preferred above beef (cattle) or mutton (sheep). A fair dinkum ‘roo stew is designed to put hair on your chest (not applicable to females, I hasten to add). Speaking personally, I reckon one of the tastiest meats of all is the Northern Territory buffalo. Bloody good tucker (food), that one, mate!
