*REPLY: What is age but a measurement of our earthy existence. A mere blink in the infinity of time. Does the age of a person tell us anything about them ? Does it reveal their character, knowledge, experience, values or intelligence? One meets feeble crones along the way whose minds have barely emerged from the cradle. Browse through our current crop of politicians for the living evidence of this. Conversely, I have looked into the eyes of children and seen great wisdom. So, all things considered, I find the question superfluous …
A random thought. Why do we often refer to someone as being “middle aged.” It does not exist collectively, does it? For instance, a mate of mine was killed when he was kicked in the head by a horse at 20. That means he was “middle aged” on his 10th birthday.
